Believe Weight Loss Program

A look into the statistics on weight loss are terrible

Believe Health

Why programs fail…

Believe Health

Expect people to change too much, too fast

Believe weight loss approach helps you lose weight permanently

Sara M, California

This is the first weight loss program that ever made it about me first. We started by looking at the way I eat today. There are a whole bunch of things that I am doing right and it was nice to have that recognized for a change. Then we focused on a few smart substitutes relevant for me.

One of my problems is my love of cheese. So we substituted hummus and raw vegetables as a snack. I still have cheese, but now instead of putting out the full block, I only put a chunk that is an acceptable portion size for me. That way, I limit my portion, but get to enjoy what I love.

Dairy was my other big challenge. I like ice cream…it’s my weakness. We found some sorbets and real fruit popsicles fill that need. I still have my sweet tooth satisfied, but with half the calories.

I have to say I like the Food Photo Journal as well. Taking pictures of what I am eating and sending them to my Advisor caused me to be more thoughtful about what I was eating because I knew I had to send whatever I was having over to her. It’s not that I knew she would be hard on me if I made a bad choice, just the opposite, but ultimately, I didn’t want to let her or myself down.

Following these tactics and a few others, I lost 25 pounds in 3 months. More importantly, the changes I made to my diet are things that I know will last a lifetime because it has not felt like a sacrifice.

What People Had to say about the Believe Weight Loss Program

David, E New York

I think the most important thing about the Believe plan is that they build off my current eating habits. I hadn’t really thought about it before, but at the end of the day there is about 30 foods that cycle through my eating repertoire. I’m eating a pretty good variety of fruits and vegetables. My main problem was that I was eating too much bread and pasta.

My Advisor and I talked through the occasions when I was having bread and we worked out a plan for reducing the amount I was consuming. Initially, I thought lettuce wraps would be a terrible idea, but they are pretty good. Sometimes I do topless sandwiches which only use one slice of bread instead of two. And now sometimes I turn my sandwiches into salads.

On the pasta front, I am now substituting spaghetti squash on occasion for pasta which is very tasty and better for me. Or if I want the real deal, I follow the 50/50 rule. So easy and so satisfying!

I’m down 10 pounds in six weeks and know I am well on my way.
